The resume project was generally straightforward. There was already a resume ready on-hand so the graphics as well as design hierarchy were the main focuses. The design choice was used to organize the body copy in a way to allow readers to view it in bits and pieces. The topic of the flyer project is quite obvious, defunding the police. There were many ways to go about promoting the defunding of police departments across the country but the most powerful means would be timely as well. Considering the recent events of protesters and police departments going at each other, using the pandemic situation as a means of contrasting the difference in funding makes sense. This brochure was hands down the most difficult project to complete. Not only was the group situation complicated due to changes midway,  cooperation in the group was a challenge.   There were a few thoughts for the logo ideas, the first being my name spelled out into the logo, look closely. The reason behind it is for name branding and making the name something familiar. The second logo is of a horizon which symbolizes the endless possibilities that can occur when working with the company. The final logo is another take on "endless possibilities" with a seemingly endless hallway.

During President Ronald Reagan’s term was the time thought to have started the war on drugs. It’s because of this presidential war on drugs that many of them have attained a negative connotation. Things like Marijuana became criminalized and caused the incarceration of many individuals. Minorities are more likely to be arrested and convicted for a crime involving marijuana, but things are changing. People in the government, however many or few, are trying to change the countries views on the criminalization of the plant. This change of viewpoints also comes with a reparation of damages done caused by it, most noticeably the release of those incarcerated for cases involving marijuana.  The reason behind this topic needing more awareness is that while there are changes happening to society, the change needs to be applied to all aspects of society.          A resume is a document most people have in common. A straightforward advertisement of persons skills and background. Making the information clear in a concise yet creative way posed a challenge. The first step taken was making sure each section was around the same length making things like alignment easier. To keep the page light there is always negative space being utilized. The first few designs show a left flush alignment with more negative space to the right side of the page. The design took a turn with somewhat of an umbrella design. The last few deigns just explored. different uses of the negative space available to me by changing the alignment of the content.

Visual communication is the type that I respond the most to. Seeing something boosts the ability to learn if one is good at mimicking things they see. This makes visual communication the most crucial form of communication. Another reason for this is the indisputable verbal communication humans partake in. Without realizing it people communicate with everything they do from the way they're dressed, their body language, and facial expressions. It's not uncommon for people to be able to read facial expressions but most don't often pay close attention to the body language. For example, verbal communication is a means for people to "read the room." Some people may lack the ability to do something like this which means they may not be reading the visual language of the area.
